About Us

The Black Conveyancers Association (BCA) was formed in May 2005 in response to the historical inequalities in the conveyancing industry.  As the only identifiable, credible black conveyancing organisation, this organisation plans to advance and represent the interest of black conveyancers nationally.

Mission statement

The mission of the organisation is captured in the following two statements. The mission statements are an expression of its basic purpose and intends to define the organisation and clarify its primary services.

  • Transform and expand the traditional role of conveyancers to become property legal professionals and serve all members of the South African society in order to address the inequalities brought about by the apartheid system which are still evident in our society today.
  • Ensure the reservation of conveyancing instructions to BCA member firms in line with BEE legislation, policies and charters.(Source: BCA Constitution)
